lyrics

Friend or enemy
My youth was like a lover
I took her for granted now she gone
I guess it was probably for the best
Something is bound to come along

I’ve finally learnt what to do
Sadly by most the things I’ve done
But not all my bridges are burnt
I’ve still got some lessons left to learn

I need to know
Is time my friend or my enemy?
Everything she seem to have given
Eventually taken from me

I’ll be the judge of my trails
And I’ll plead guilty to playing the fool
I’d rather make then laugh then cry
save my tear for when I get home

I’m thankful to all of my friends
And learnt to like the company of myself
we smile with every sunbeam
and laugh with the miracle of the rain
I need to know
Is time my friend or my enemy?
Everything she seem to have given
Eventually taken from me

Sometimes my charm gently whispers
While my desperation seems to madly screams
but I’ve learnt to count all my blessings
even the ones that aint what they seem

when I think back to all my lovers
I’m greatful for love and time we share
yet leave the past where it cant hurt us
and forgive our selfs for having fragile hearts

I need to know
Is time my friend or my enemy?
Everything she seem to have given
Eventually taken from me

I’ve finally got the devil of shoulder
And stoped chasing every angel I see
Yesterday wasn’t perfect
And tomorrow still a mystery to me

about

The Badenvilles Hobart, Australia

The Badenvilles formed in early 2013. The group’s hybrid sound is born of each member’s individual taste and musical background. Gordie’s pledge when forming the band was to create music that sounded like Iggy Pop covering Johnny Cash. Or vice versa..
